Tallest Pooja Lamp: Dr. Avinash Banait, his wife Jayshree and sons Yash and Jerryl designed, built and installed a 'Samai', a golden pooja lamp made of fiberglass in front of statue of Lord Krishna at their lawns in Laxminagar, Nagpur on Oct. 2, 2000.
With a ceremonial peacock on the top, carvings of elephant at the bottom and lotuses and "yakshas" in the middle, this 48-ft (14.63m) high lamp of 12 ft (3.66m) base diameter is lit using edible oil and thick cotton wicks.

The two-phased project took 1,600 manhours over a 45 days to complete it. After completion of the first phase on Nov.5, 1999, the lamp was 33 ft tall, which in the second phase was raised to present height.
The enitre family was involved in it concept to completion. Dr. Avinash Banait who conceived the idea, was helped by his son Yash in designing it and wife Jayshree and son Jerryl in identifying the color scheme through computer simulation. ISBN:81-901148-2-4

Jerryl Lawns is located at West High Court Road, Laxmi Nagar, Nagpur (Maharashtra). Jerryl Lawns is spread over 21,000 sq. feet of beautifully landscaped grounds adorned with majestic palm trees, shimmering fountains, brick pathways, picturesque stone gazebos and a wonderful Lord Krishna statue, holding gowardhan parbat in index finger is placed at the main entrance. Jerryl Lawns and Yash Palace has been awarded by Guinness Book of World Records, Limca Book of National Records and Limca Book of World Records for tallest "Samai" (Pooja Lamp). This samai made by Dr. Avinash Banait, the banait family and helpers in Nagpur Maharashtra, India.

It has 15 arches and 15 jharokas or carvings of Rajasthani haveli. The entire exercise took took 1,600 manhours over a 45 days to complete it, and it was completed in 1999. Besides the family, they were helped by six unskilled labours. Everything from visualization to design and idea was executed by Dr. Avinash Banait and his family. Jerryl Lawns and Yash Palace has also been nominated for Best Lawn award from Navbharat Team.
