The tallest Samai (Pooja Lamp) measures a world record 48 ft high (Which is now 60 ft) with 12 ft diameter base & 24 lighted flames , made by Dr. Avinash Banait, the banait family and helpers in Nagpur Maharashtra, India and first erected in Jerryl-yash Lawns Nagpur on 5th November 1999.

Guinness World Records, known from its inception from 1955 until 2000 as The Guinness Book of World Records, is a reference book published annually, listing world records both of human achievements and the extremes of the natural world.

Limca Book Of National Records

Jerryl Lawns and Yash Palace has been honored by Limca Book of National Records for the biggest fibre glass structure (Yash Palace) of 150ft long, 30 ft wide and 30 ft tall which is designed by Dr. Avinash Banait, his family & helpers. In yash palace 15 arches and 15 jharokas which depicts of carvings of Rajasthani haveli.

This samai has 48 ft high (Which is now 60 ft) with 12 ft diameter base & 24 lighted flames. The entire exercise took 1,600 manhours and over 45 days to complete. Beside the family, they were helped by six unskilled labours. Everything from the visualization to design and execution by Banait family.

Jerryl Lawns and Yash Palace is appraised by Limca Book of World Records for the Tallest Samai in the world of 48 ft high. Dr. Avinash Banait and his wife Jayshree and sons Yash and Jerryl designed, built and installed 48 ft high feet of pooja lamp called "Samai" at their lawns in Laximinagar, Nagpur on 2nd Oct 2000.
